Game: Build It Fast Teams get 20 cups, 10 index cards and three minutes to build the tallest tower. Then talk about teamwork, like Nehemiah's builders.
Discussion questions Read Colossians 3:17-24 together first.
- What's the hardest job you've ever had, including chores or homework? (Colossians 3:23)
- What does it mean to work 'as to the Lord'? (Colossians 3:17)
- Why do you think God built rest into the week? (Exodus 20:9-10)
- Where do you need Jesus' rest right now? (Matthew 11:28-30)
Optional challenge: Serve without being asked Do one job at home this week without being asked, and do it heartily. Don't tell anyone until next week.
