How to Announce a Small Group Launch

A launch post that says "groups are back" and nothing else creates inbox questions. Answer them in the graphic.

Decide this before you design

  • Start date and how many weeks
  • Days and times, or "various" plus a link that lists them
  • Who it is for: anyone, parents, students, new people
  • Where to sign up, and the deadline
  • Whether childcare is offered. Only say yes if it is staffed.

If the link is not ready, do not post the launch. Post "Sign-up opens [date]" instead.

One look, three places

Use the same sentence on the slide, the bulletin, and the social post. Change the shape, not the facts.

Slide: "Small groups start [date]. Sign up in the lobby."

Bulletin: the sentence, plus two example times so people can picture their week.

Social: the sentence, the link, and one photo of a real group with permission. A stock living room is fine if you do not have a photo. Do not pretend it is your church.

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25, KJV)

A simple timeline

  1. Three Sundays out: mention it from the front. No graphic required.
  2. Two Sundays out: slide and bulletin, sign-up open.
  3. One Sunday out: social post and a lobby table.
  4. Launch week: "Groups start this week" and a thank-you to hosts.

Copy P126 or the shorter P039 and P115.

Suggested launch Sundays are on the calendar in January and September 2027. Move them to your real dates.
