Invite Sundays and Back to Church

People do not come because the graphic was clever. They come because someone they know asked. Your job is to make that ask easy and to make Sunday obvious: time, place, and what will happen.

One campaign, one sentence

Pick one:

  • Invite Sunday: "Bring someone with you."
  • Back to church: "If you have been away, come home. If you have a friend who has been away, ask them."

Do not run both messages on the same graphic. Pick the one your pastor will actually say out loud.

The card

A small card beats a paragraph. Five lines:

  1. Church name
  2. "Come with me" or "Come back"
  3. Sunday date and service time
  4. Address
  5. A line for kids or childcare, if that is true

Hand the cards out two Sundays before, not the day of. Put a stack at the door and a slide that says where the stack is.

"And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" (Romans 10:15, KJV)

Copy the Invite Sunday caption from P122. A back-to-church line is P113.

The Sunday itself

Greet guests like neighbors, not projects. Say the service length if you know it. Tell them where the kids go. Have a next step that is real, such as coffee or a welcome desk, not a pile of forms.

A suggested Invite Sunday is on the calendar for November 15, 2026, and again in January 2027. Those dates are planning prompts. Use yours.
